The advantage of using ASCs:
eASCs have a therapeutic effect against inflammatory and autoimmune diseases
eASCs have been completely characterized by Cellerix. Using preclinical and clinical studies, the Cellerix research team has shown that eASCs are safe (have no adverse effects) and non-immunogenic, and that the therapeutic effect of this product is due to a novel and different mechanism of action that modulates immune response in the body and suppresses inflammation.
The Cellerix team has also shown that this mechanism of action is valid after both local and systemic administration (eASCs migrate and exert their therapeutic effect at the inflammation site).
eASCs are able to simultaneously regulate multiple pathways associated to the inflammatory process. This represents a unique advantage over current treatments, which act on a single specific pathway and lack the safety profile shown for eASCs.
